Covid-19 Updates
We are following the development of COVID-19 closely and taking recommendations by local governmental agencies seriously. Please see our timeline of Covid-19 updates and safety precautions below to stay up to date. We are making changes in real-time as updated recommendations are announced.

Here's what we are doing to keep everyone safe:
- Regular and frequent sanitizing of all restaurant and retail spaces.
- You are welcome to wear a facemask as your own comfort.
- No one, staff or patrons, should come to Mox if they are feeling at all unwell.
- Takeout from our restaurants is available. (Seattle/Bellevue/Portland)
- You can now shop at Mox from the comfort of your own home with our new "Buy Online Pick Up In Store" service. Check it out here. We'll get your order ready for you so all you need to do is stop by to pick it up.

Sat, 3/12/22 - Oregon and Washington state are dropping the mask mandate for many indoor spaces (Washington/Oregon)
Tue, 3/1/22 - King County no longer requires vaccination verification for indoor events and indoor dining as of March 1st 2022, read more here. Vaccination verification is no longer required at Mox Seattle and Bellevue.
Fri, 10/08/21 - In accordance with the Verification of Vaccination Order published by Public Health – Seattle & King County, starting October 25th, 2021, all patrons and customers ages 12 and up will be required to show documentation that verifies they are fully vaccinated before being permitted entry to Events, Open Gaming, or Restaurant spaces at Mox Boarding House Seattle and Bellevue. We require that we see the CDC COVID-19 Vaccine Record Card, or photo of CDC Vaccine Record Card.
Proof of an Covid test administered by a testing provider within the last 72 hrs, administered within the last 72 hours, is also accepted for guests unable to provide verification of vaccination. Wearing masks is required by all guests while visiting all Mox Boarding House locations.
In order to make verifying vaccination documents as easy as possible for guests and staff, guests intending on dining at Mox Seattle and Mox Bellevue will only be seated if their entire party is present. Speak with a restaurant staff member for more information.
Mon, 9/06/21 - Starting today Mox Seattle restaurant moves back to regular opening hours that match retail. Both Seattle retail and restaurant hours are now Monday to Friday 11am to midnight and Saturday and Sunday 10am to midnight.
Mon, 8/19/21 - Starting next Monday August 23rd Washington is reinstating the mask mandate for all individuals when in public indoor spaces. All guests visiting any Mox location must wear masks when moving through our space, though masks can be removed when eating and dining with us.
Mon, 8/10/21 - Starting August 13th Oregon moves back to requiring face coverings for everyone in indoor public spaces. When visiting Mox Portland starting 8/13/21 all guests must wear masks when moving through our space; guests are allowed to remove their masks while they are eating and drinking in our dining room.
Wed, 7/28/21 - New announcements made today by the CDC, Governor Inslee (Washington), and Governor Brown (Oregon) recommend mask wearing for all individuals. At Mox we are following this recommendation and masks are recommended for all guests and required for unvaccinated guests when visiting Mox Boarding House.
Thu, 6/30/21 - With announcements made by Governor Brown (Oregon) and Governor Inslee (Washington) some of our Mox operations are changing. Vaccinated guests are no longer required to wear masks when at Mox, however, masks are still welcome. Unvaccinated guests must continue wearing masks when at Mox. Additionally, on July 5th our retail stores are all going back to our regular opening hours of 11am to midnight Monday to Friday and 10am to midnight on Saturday and Sunday. Restaurant operations will still have updated operating hours as we take time to build up our staffing and processes. Please check local opening hours here.
Wed, 5/26/21 - With the Wizards of the Coast announcement that in-store play can resume as of May 28th and the CDC updating mask recommendations for vaccinated individuals, Mox in-store events will begin again starting the week of May 31st at all locations. Mox will continue to ensure that the safety of the community is paramount. Masks will still be required when participating in events, no more than 8 players will be seated at the same table, only every other table will be used for gaming, and the number of events offered is limited. Thu, 4/29/21 – In accordance with Gov. Brown’s announcement Mox Portland restaurant is temporarily closing for Dine-In, but will remain open for To-Go orders. Order dinner tonight, here.
Thu, 4/21/2021 – Mox Seattle restaurant is reopening from Thursday through Sunday. New restaurant hours of operation are 3pm to 10pm Thursday and Friday and Noon to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant will be closed Monday through Wednesday. See our menu here.
Fri, 3/19/2021 – Gov. Inslee announces that Washington State is moving to Phase 3. This allows indoor capacity at 50% and indoor restaurant seating is now increased to 10 guests or less.
Thu, 3/4/2021 – Mox Bellevue restaurant is reopening at 25% capacity. New restaurant hours of operation are 3pm to 10pm Thursday and Friday and Noon to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant will be closed Monday through Wednesday. See our menu here.
Mon, 2/22/2021 – Mox Boarding House Portland restaurant is reopening at 25% capacity for indoor dining. New restaurant hours of operation are 3pm to 10pm Monday through Friday and Noon to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. See our menu here. Retail operations are also changing to 11am to 10pm on weekdays and 10am to 10pm on weekends.
Mon, 11/16/2020 – In accordance with restrictions announced by Governor Inslee starting on 11/16/2020 Mox Boarding House Seattle and Bellevue restaurants will be closed for the time being. Retail operating hours will remain the same at these locations (Weekdays 11am to 10pm and Weekends 10am to 10pm). Capacity will also be limited to 25%.
Sat, 11/14/2020 – In accordance with restrictions announced by Governor Brown starting on 11/16/2020 Mox Boarding House Portland will be closed for dining in, however, take-out will still be available Thursday through Sundays from noon to 8pm. Click here to order now. Additionally retail will limit its operating hours to noon – 8pm daily and capacity to 25%.
Mon, 10/12/2020 – Mox Boarding House Seattle and Bellevue restaurants are now able to seat up to 6 guests at a table and they are no longer required to be from the same household in accordance with government recommendations and guidelines.
Sat, 8/1/2020 – Mox Boarding House Seattle and Bellevue Restaurant hours are reduced to: Closed Monday-Thursday and Open 2pm-10pm Friday-Sunday. Retail hours remain Monday-Friday 11am-10pm and Saturday/Sunday 10am-10pm.
Mon, 7/6/2020 – Mox locations are open 7 days a week with extended hours. New opening hours are 11am to 10pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 10pm on weekends.
Fri, 6/12/2020 – Mox is open 7 days a week again from noon to 8pm. This includes dining in the restaurant and browsing the store. Details here.
Tue, 5/12/2020 – Today Mox Seattle begins offering curbside pick up for food, beverages, and games. Open times will be Tuesday through Saturday 12pm to 8pm. Details here. Mox Bellevue will follow suit on May 19th.

Tue, 3/24/2020 – On 3/25/2020 Governor Inslee announced a Stay-Home order. We will be closing our doors at the end of the day 3/24 until things improve and are safe. Keep an eye on our social media for updates. We will be open from 11am to 8pm today for any last-minute needs that you have.
Tue, 3/17/2020 – Due to our event programs and restaurant service being suspended until further notice, we are adjusting our opening hours. We will be closing every night at 8pm. In addition, our game library and minis tables will no longer be available for the time being.
Mon, 3/16/2020 – In light of recent safety recommendations to reduce group sizes and encourage social distancing, we have decided to postpone our Mox Portland hiring event until things stabilize. We will be directly contacting everyone that has already applied to let them know about this delay.
Sun, 3/15/2020 – With the executive action announced today, Mox Boarding House’s restaurants will be closed and in-store events continue to be suspended for the immediate future until the situation improves and bans on public gatherings are lifted. Our retail space will remain open for customers who wish to purchase games or pick up MtG orders. We encourage you to make your MtG pick-up orders at home and call us before visiting so that we can have your order ready for you when you come in.
Wed, 3/11/2020 – We have that it is in the best interest of our staff and community to follow the local governmental agencies’ recommendations and suspend all in-store events until further notice. Our store will remain open! We welcome you to join us at Mox. However, we ask that if you are feeling unwell that you stay home and take care of yourself. Please note that we have increased our cleaning and sanitation frequency, and we have hand sanitizer throughout the store.
