Mox PDX – Update
What a year it has been! This time last year, we were looking at an empty building with wonder. How do we take this and make it into a Mox Boarding House? We have gone through countless hours, days, and weeks of demolition and construction. Miles of electrical wiring and many sheets of drywall. We are slowly seeing a transformation.
The plumbing and electrical is in place, the milling is complete, and we are starting to close off walls and ceilings. We’re putting in kitchen equipment as we speak. Soon we will be adding those special final touches like adding furniture, finishings, and painting the walls.
For the time being, you can see our new Mox PDX art featured in the windows along West Burnside Street. Can you guess the theme of each piece? If you see them in person, be sure to share photos and your guess with us on Twitter.
We’ve received a lot of inquiries about Mox PDX, so we wanted to take a moment to answer a few of the Frequently Asked Questions.
When will Mox open its doors?
At this stage, we are only a few months out from opening our doors to Portland and playing games with all of you. Our current timeline estimates April as the launch window.
What to expect?
All the amazing offerings you can find at our existing stores will also be at PDX: a vast selection of games to buy and borrow, play space that can accommodate everything from board games to RPGs to miniatures, and many tournaments. We will be buying and selling Magic: The Gathering through our kiosk, of course, so make sure to bring your collection! Our full kitchen will offer incredible food, with a window to the main restaurant. And don’t forget to check out our elaborately themed private rooms that you can rent to host everything from your next corporate meeting to your regular D&D night.
How to get involved?
Sit tight, we are coming soon! In a couple of months, we will launch our hiring process, so if you (or someone you know) want to work in an incredibly fun, busy, and creative environment, we want to hear from you. Keep your eyes open on our blog and PDX Facebook page for updates.
-See you soon PDX!
